This shot of Worms Head off on the Gower Peninsula made a good test for a scanner. Large areas of gradual tone changes and, more importantly, lots of shadow detail with some bright hilights and large contrast changes. For information, the drum scanner was a celsis 240 I think, which is basically a howtek 4500, owned by Dav Thomas and which cost £300, the imacon was a 949 owned by Joe Cornish which cost approx £15k and the Epson was a v750 owned by myself and cost £400. The Imacon scan took 4 minutes, the epson 10 minutes and the drum scan about 90 minutes (15 minutes to wet mount it).
